Classical music played a large role in the childhood home of Stockholm based songwriter and artist Cecilia Nykvist aka CILVR. The sounds fascinated her and she started writing her own songs at an early age. When she was admitted to the prestigious school “Musikmakarna” in the Northern town of Örnskiöldsvik she found her love of dreamy indie-pop, inspired and influenced by artists like Lana Del Rey and BANKS.

She has released music with artists like Loreen, Möwe, ALIUS, MAISØN, and Benedict Cork to name a few and in 2018 she released her debut single with her solo project CILVR. She writes all kinds of pop but has a special place in her heart for darker and emotive indie pop.
