Songwriter, artist and producer – Julie Aagaard has spent several years honing her skills to become one of the Nordics most sought after and prolific songwriters. Her years of experience encompasses cuts for artists all over the world and in every different shade of pop. Julie manages to make every session count and with her knowledge of all aspects of music creation (from songwriting, tracking vocals to production) she has a reputation of being a true professional – especially known for her uncanny knack of finding the right lyrics and topline melody.
With more that 45 million+ streams in pop, indie, EDM and K-pop - her writing is very thematic which makes her songs stand out as unique and catchy.
Her artist project Kill J launched in 2013 - focuses mainly on experimental indie pop and has gained international attention from BBC Radio 1 ,BBC radio 6, Beats1, performance at SXSW, The Guardian, Pigeons and Planes, SPIN, Idolator, The Line Of Best Fit and The Fader.
Besides her work as a songwriter and artist, Julie is dedicated to helping the next generation of songwriters. She regularly carries out lectures for young songwriters at the Danish Royal Academy of Music as well as participating in debates and events for young and upcoming people in the Danish music industry.
